We’re extremely proud to announce that we have completed on the New Digital Skills Academy at Askham Bryan College in York. This extension is attached onto the existing Learning Resource Centre.

For this project, we secured the extension at Askham Bryan College which will provide the college with a purpose-built environment to teach essential digital literacy skills to students, enhance existing digital skills to those already in the industry and upskill the current workforce in line with current emerging digital technologies. Within the building there is a dedicated area for a mixed reality suite, enabling the use of immersive technology within the college’s teaching.

Askham Bryan College is one of the largest and fastest growing land-based colleges in the UK, with more than 4000 students and training around 800 apprentices at sites across the north of England.

Ashcourt’s Construction division worked with architects, Evans McDowall Architects on the project which was given the green light to go ahead in Spring 2021.
