Project Description

Pleased to have secured the contract for the new Allam building at Castle Hill Hospital, our team commenced works on the facility dedicated to digestive diseases and endoscopy procedures. Welcoming another donation from Dr Allam and his family they kindly donated £6m to the NHS towards the construction of the building.

Situated in a prominent position on the hospital site, this building aims to provide a modern and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors similar to its sister building at Hull Royal Infirmary Campus.

The internal area of the development is approximately 2,530sqm spread over a part single and part three storeys new building wrapping around a central glazed atrium. The works also include improvements to parking facilities and landscaping including a garden roof on the first floor.

Our works comprised of drainage, foundations and the main building shell which boasts over 2,000 Dekton porcelain panels with 86 windows featuring unique gold trim to suit the theme of the building. The main entrance has a raking curtain wall with a full-length decorative curtain wall following round to the main staircase allowing natural light to flow through the building.

Many Ashcourt divisions were involved in the process including plant hire, civil engineering, concrete and waste management.
