New Allam Endoscopy Centre Making Progress

Works on the Allam building at Castle Hill Hospital are progressing for the new Endoscopy Centre.

The external cladding is nearing completion and is being fixed onto the building with an aluminium helping hand support system. The cladding features a special combination of materials to ensure thermal values are met whilst also providing weathertight properties and an aesthetically pleasing finish with gold frames.

Each floor is made up of a 130mm reinforced concrete deck, supported by steel frame works with fire rated internal stud partitions. The low-level flat roof exiting the first floor has 50mm paving slabs with 25mm caro support pads on 220mm XPS insulation that is laid on top of a vapour control layer.

The next phase will see the main entrance steel works commence with the central glazing to follow on the atrium.
