- ● Meeting & greeting both internal and external clients, contractors, and visitors to the site in a professional manner.
- ● Weighing in and out of customer vehicles, ensuring transactions are correctly booked to customer accounts or, in the case of cash accounts, that payment is taken. Use the vehicle number plate not a generic code.
- ● Liaising with credit control when customers are in breach of credit accounts to determine if customers are, or are not, allowed to collect or tip.
- ● Observing customer vehicles enter and travel upon the site in accordance with site rules, as far as practicable, and escalating to yard manager repeat offenders.
- ● Reporting to the site management any breach of rules, act of dishonesty, non-compliance, malpractice, or corruption by any member of the public, visitor to the site, or member of staff.
- ● Ensuring customers either have PPE as required to comply with site rules or providing customers with Ashcourt supplied.
- ● Challenging anyone that tries to enter the site not in accordance with site rules.
- ● Instructing customers of site rules and where to go relevant to the purpose of their visit and ensuring all weighbridge/customer queries are resolved and actioned.
- ● Assist in the management of traffic on site.
- ● Filing of paperwork.
- ● Assisting the Accounts department with customer queries.
- ● First Aid.
Waste Weighbridge
- ● Ensure that all customers have Duty of Care/Waste Transfer Notes to accompany each delivery or alternatively have an Annual Duty of Care ticket in place to cover the specific waste they are carrying
- ● Obtain Waste Carrier’s Licences from customers and record them on the weighbridge software.
- ● Monitoring, as far as practicable, that incoming materials are in accordance with the Duty of Care/Waste Transfer Note description given by customers and therefore that the customer is billed in accordance with site pricing structure.
- ● Alerting the loading shovel drivers to the arrival and requirements of customers collecting materials.
Quarries & Aggregates

- ● Raising invoices weekly (Partridge Hall Quarry) for all customers of Simpson Quarries Limited that have collected materials.
