Salary: From £45,000 - £55,000 plus company car

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Subcontractors: Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors, inviting them to tender and fostering relationships within the supply chain.
  • Quotations & Analysis: Receive and evaluate subcontractor quotations, liaising with Contracts Managers and the Commercial Director to ensure the best decisions are made.
  • Documentation & Payments: Prepare formal subcontract documents and certify interim/final payments and accounts.
  • Planning & Forecasting: Create bill of quantities, activity schedules, and cash flow forecasts for both internal and client use.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor contract income and expenditure, handle interim/final applications for payment, and resolve any issues with late payments.
  • Reporting: Generate accurate, insightful monthly reports on cost comparisons, turnover forecasts, and more for the Commercial Director.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Attend financial and progress meetings with clients and subcontractors, contributing expertise and strategic input.
  • Site Support: Provide advice to the site team to maximise the use of contract resources effectively.
  • Feedback & Collaboration: Support estimators in tender preparation and provide valuable feedback to Contracts Managers on pricing and contract performance.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will have:

  • •Hold a full UK Driving Licence and CSCS Card.
  • •Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent qualification).
  • •Have proven experience in quantity surveying within construction.
  • •Be a team player, with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • •Have a proactive attitude and the ability to thrive under pressure.
