Works Progress for The New Home Of The Arctic Corsair

Our work at the North End Shipyard project for the new home of the Arctic Corsair is coming along brilliantly with recent works focused on the preparation of the substructure of the building.
Once the preparations were in place, we installed a gas membrane to prevent the gas entering from the ground up into the building. Next, we worked on the rebar which was set and fixed firmly into position ready for the concrete pour of the raft foundation.
Pouring over 100m3 of our own C32/40 mix provided by Ashcourt wagons from our Hull concrete plant, the ground raft foundation was successfully completed using a total of 250 tonnes of concrete.
In the coming weeks we shall be looking to complete the installation of the wall shuttering with another concrete pour.
