Our Demolition team were asked to demolish and clear derelict office blocks attached to one and three of the Hangar buildings in Kellythorpe, Driffield.

Due to the construction of the building, temporary works propping had to be designed underneath the concrete roof as the existing roofs were tied into the main Hangar structure with reinforced steel.

Once temporary works propping was in place, our team used a saw to cut down the whole length of the roof to separate the office block roofs from the main structure. At this point our 35-tonne excavator fitted with a Prodem hydraulic muncher was able to progressively work through the structure to achieve safe demolition of the buildings.
