We have now been confirmed as the main contractor on the new carbon neutral visitor centre in Hull at North End Shipyard.

The energy efficient centre will tell the story of the Arctic Corsair and North End Shipyard. Other elements of the project include the restoration of Spurn Lightship and refurbishment of Dock Office Chambers and Hull Maritime Museum and will create an exciting new maritime route that will guide visitors through the heart of the city from Queen Victoria Square to the River Hull.

These new additions to Hull will be funded by the Hull City Council and The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Once the visitor centre and the former shipyard are complete, this will become one of the most energy efficient buildings in the UK’s cultural and heritage sector. These new additions to the city are expected to bring an additional £2.86 million into Hull, also attracting over 300,000 visitors while adding to its regeneration through its culture and heritage.

This will be a great addition to our portfolio already having successfully completed large-scale projects including Castle Hill Rehabilitation Centre and the ICU at Hull Royal Infirmary. Our work will start in Autumn 2022 with the aim to be finished in 2024.
