Ashcourt Group was proud to attend the Great Yorkshire Show for the first time in 2026, showcasing the breadth of our operations while giving visitors of all ages the opportunity to learn more about our services, products and approach to material recovery.
The Great Yorkshire Show is one of the region’s most significant events, bringing together businesses, agricultural organisations, local communities and families from across Yorkshire and beyond. As our first year exhibiting at the show, it provided an excellent opportunity to introduce Ashcourt Group to a wide audience and demonstrate the scale and diversity of our operations.
Throughout the event, our stand welcomed a constant flow of visitors. Members of the Ashcourt Group team were on hand to speak with existing customers, meet new contacts and explain more about our work across aggregates, concrete, waste management, transport and material recovery.
One of the biggest attractions on the stand was our digger challenge, which was supported and professionally managed by Harvey Training. Visitors were invited to step into the operator’s seat and test their control, coordination and accuracy using one of the machines on display.
The challenge proved to be a massive hit, attracting participants of different ages and experience levels throughout the event. It also provided an engaging way to demonstrate the skill required to operate modern construction equipment safely and effectively.

Alongside the digger challenge, visitors were able to take a closer look at a selection of vehicles from the Ashcourt Group fleet. Our display included a tipper wagon, grab wagon, concrete mixer wagon and electric skip wagon, highlighting the range of specialist vehicles used across our day-to-day operations.
The vehicles demonstrated how our different divisions work together to support construction projects with reliable material supply, waste removal and transport services. The electric skip wagon also provided an opportunity to discuss our continued investment in lower-emission vehicles and the role alternative technologies can play within construction logistics.
Our concrete operations were represented through the display of two different sizes of concrete blocks: 600mm x 1800mm and 800mm x 1600mm.
These robust and versatile blocks can be used for a wide variety of applications, including material storage bays, retaining structures, site security, traffic management and temporary or permanent partitioning. Visitors were able to see the scale and quality of the blocks first-hand while speaking directly with our team about their uses and availability.
A dedicated display also showcased the range of recycled aggregates and sands produced through Ashcourt Group’s wash plants.
Members of staff were available throughout the show to explain how our wash plants recover suitable materials from incoming soil and excavation waste that may otherwise have been sent to landfill.
Through washing, screening and processing, the incoming material can be transformed into consistent and usable construction products. These products can then be supplied back into the construction industry, helping to reduce reliance on virgin resources and supporting a more circular approach to material management.
The display allowed visitors to see examples of the products created through the washing process and understand how material that may initially appear unsuitable can be recovered, processed and returned to productive use.
It also gave our team the opportunity to explain the benefits of our integrated muck away, material recovery and aggregate supply services. By managing both the removal of material from site and the supply of suitable construction products, we can help customers improve project efficiency, reduce unnecessary vehicle movements and maintain greater control over material quality and site logistics.
Visitors to the stand were also treated to refreshments from Café Racer, which supplied coffee, tea, ice cream and brownies throughout the event. Their team helped create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, giving visitors a place to take a break and speak with members of the Ashcourt Group team.
We also gave away a wide range of Ashcourt Group branded items, including caps, flasks, spirit levels, notepads and more. The giveaways proved extremely popular and gave visitors a practical reminder of their time at our stand.
Our attendance was supported by employees from across Ashcourt Group, with representatives available to discuss our products, services, fleet, sustainability initiatives and the wider capabilities of the business.
Their knowledge and enthusiasm helped visitors gain a better understanding of how our different operations work together to provide a comprehensive service to customers across the construction industry.
Our first year at the Great Yorkshire Show was about more than displaying vehicles, machinery and products. It allowed us to engage directly with the communities in which we operate, promote the construction and logistics sectors and highlight the range of opportunities available within the industry.
