Ashcourt Group has continued its programme of investment in modern plant and equipment with the addition of two new Volvo machines supplied by SMT GB in Immingham.
The latest additions to the Group’s fleet include a Volvo A30 dumper and a Volvo EC360 excavator, both of which will be deployed to Hartley Quarry in Cumbria to support ongoing production requirements at the site. The investment forms part of Ashcourt Group’s wider commitment to maintaining a modern, efficient and reliable fleet across its operational network. As production levels continue to develop at Hartley Quarry, the introduction of additional machinery will help strengthen the site’s operational capability and provide greater capacity for excavation, material handling and internal movement.
The Volvo EC360 excavator will provide additional digging and loading capacity, supporting the extraction and processing of material across the quarry. Alongside this, the Volvo A30 dumper will assist with the efficient movement of material around the site, helping to maintain consistent production flows and improve overall operational efficiency. Hartley Quarry forms an important part of Ashcourt Group’s operations in Cumbria, supplying a range of aggregate products to customers across the region. Continued investment in the site reflects the Group’s long-term approach to developing its quarrying operations and ensuring that production capacity can respond effectively to customer demand.
Investment in modern machinery also plays an important role in maintaining high standards of reliability, productivity and safety across Ashcourt Group’s sites. By continually reviewing and upgrading its plant fleet, the Group is able to reduce downtime, improve efficiency and provide its operational teams with equipment suited to the demanding conditions associated with quarrying and aggregate production. The new machines were supplied by SMT GB from its Immingham facility and represent the latest additions to Ashcourt Group’s growing Volvo fleet.
This investment at Hartley Quarry follows the Group’s wider programme of expenditure across its quarrying and materials operations, with continued investment in machinery, processing equipment and site infrastructure helping to support sustainable growth across the business. Ashcourt Group remains committed to investing in the people, plant and infrastructure required to strengthen its regional operations, improve production capability and maintain a dependable supply of materials to customers across Cumbria and the wider areas it serves.
